What is the professional Code of Conduct for a Medical Intuitive?

While there is no official requirement for a code of conduct for medical intuitive’s, a professional medical intuitive will work by the principles of traditional medical practitioners and allied health professionals.
These attributes will include the following:
Confidentiality -
A professional medical intuitive will respect a client’s right to confidentiality. This means that any information provided within a consultation, a phone conversation or any other form of communication between a client and practitioner will remain between the client and practitioner. Discussion between a medical intuitive and a client by its very nature is personal and must remain that way.
All records relating to a client will be stored in a locked cabinet and will be available should a client request access to them. Any information regarding written records, discussions or interaction may only be shared at the written request of the client or their guardian and only with the person or organisation named in the written request.
Privacy -
A consultation with a professional medical intuitive will be provided in an environment which ensures a client’s privacy including not only that a client cannot be heard but also that they are not visible to passing traffic.
This means that the consultation must be conducted either in a secure and private room when face to face, or if electronically, on a computer which has effective and current security software.
Expectations -
It is important that a client is fully informed as to the reasonable expectations regarding their healing consultation. This means that a professional medical intuitive will clearly explain the process at the commencement of a consultation and within reason, the outcome of the healing.
Some clients will immediately feel uplifted and feel an improvement from their healing while others may need to sit with it for a few days.
Human beings and their readiness for change varies greatly and it is important that a professional medical intuitive discusses this with a client.
Choice -
In some consultations, a professional medical intuitive will make recommendations or suggestions regarding the steps required to effect change in a client’s life. Whether or not a client takes up those recommendations or suggestions is purely the choice of the client.
A professional medical intuitive will always respect this choice and should then advise the client regarding the reasonable expectations of the healing.
Compassion –
It is critical that a client feels compassion and understanding in any healing process. While it is incumbent on a professional medical intuitive to be honest with a client, it must be done with compassion and kindness.
When a client reaches out to a medical intuitive, it is because they are seeking help and it is imperative that they do not feel any criticism or judgement if they are to get the most benefit from their healing.
There are industry bodies for Medical Intuitive’s and most professional medical intuitive’s will hold such a membership.
The treatments provided by a professional medical intuitive, do not involve physical touch as the work is done through energy. In a situation where there is removal of energetic detritus, some medical intuitive’s will brush this away from the shoulders. Clothes are never removed as part of a professional medical intuition consultation.
A professional medical intuitive does not prescribe medications, supplements or changes to any of these. They may only suggest that these things are reviewed with the practitioner who prescribed them. The exception to this would be where the medical intuitive has a medical or other qualification which legally permits this.
Any changes can only ever be suggested or recommended by a professional medical intuitive. If a client does not wish to change behaviours or patterns, it is purely their choice. In this situation, the benefit of seeking assistance from a medical intuitive may be limited and an ethical medical intuitive will advise the client of this.
Summary –
In summary, the relationship between a professional medical intuitive and their client should be one of trust where a client can seek help with the knowledge that they will be treated with respect, kindness, honesty and compassion.
Information and advice will be shared with the client in a way which is easily understood and demystified wherever possible. A professional medical intuitive will always make the health and wellbeing of their clients their highest priority.
They will always respect the privacy and confidentiality of their clients, maintaining a professional relationship through out their treatment and beyond.
As with the medical profession, the edict is to do no harm.
